The
Breast Care Center completely coordinates all your services
and support for breast cancer and other breast concerns. We
create a relationship between you and your healthcare provider
for a seamless, efficient and easy way to meet all your breast
health needs. The center is for women with breast problems,
which includes a family history of breast cancer, an abnormal
mammogram, an abnmormal feeling in their breast, a palpable
abnormality or an abnormal discharge from your breast.
We're
also your resource for up-to-date breast health information
and education for anyone with breast health questions or concerns.
This service is available free of charge by our Patient Care
Coordinator Kathy Boeckmann who specializes in breast health
and is a registered nurse.
Your breast
health involves more than just breast cancer. It includes
symptoms and concerns including breast tenderness, discharge,
fibrocystic problems and lumps in adult and adolescent male
or female breasts.
Our
Patient Care Coordinator matches your needs with services
that provide continuity of care and optimal health outcomes.
The center:
- Coordinates all your breast health needs for faster results

- Presents programs to community organizations on breast health issues
- Finds physician services for those in need of medical care
- Provides clinical breast exams and referrals for mammograms
- Teaches Breast Self-Examination (BSE)
- Coordinates referrals to the Iowa Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program
